    Hi Cherie!

    My name is Sara and I’m reaching out on behalf of Girls on the Run’s Bay Area Chapter. Our 8th annual Dream Live Run Gala is coming up on March 10, 2016 at Firehouse 8 in San Francisco, and we would love to feature the Yosemite Half Marathon as part of our silent auction. I am putting together a package of event entries that so far includes more fun events like Bay to Breakers to serious triathlon and iron-man caliber events. The Yosemite Half would be an amazing addition to the package.

    Briefly, Girls on the Run is a non-profit after school program that teaches young girls (beginning in grade 3) healthy decision making, self-respect, self-confidence and bolsters self-esteem through a curriculum-based running program. There are fall and spring programs, and each culminates with a 5k fun run through Golden Gate park.

    I can easily send over our sponsorship packet and 501c3 certification for your review, please let me know if you’d like that information while making your decision.

    Hi Cherie! I waited to register as I thought I’d was going to do it w/a local team, but it turns out their fundraising is way over what I’d intended. So now I’m shut out. 🙁 As cancellations come in, does that open up slots to register? Or, is there a board or somewhere I can find out if anyone is trying to transfer their registration?

      Hi! I took over someone’s registered race ticket (they bought a ticket and then couldn’t go to race) —but now I may not be able to go due to family emergency. Can I transfer it again to someone else?

    Hi, my name is Darnell Allen. I’m traveling with my sister, Heather White to run your race this summer. When I received the “sold out” notice this morning, like I always do, I went on the website to check my registration. I have no idea what I did wrong but I’m not registered. I’m not sure if I didn’t complete the registration or what. So now complete panic has set in. Is there anyway you can help? I do see that there is charity spots but to be honest, traveling from Birmingham to CA is a cumbersome expense alone and I’m not sure I could raise $1000 outside of a sizable self funded effort. I’m the Vice President of the BTC (Birmingham Track Club), a member of BUTS (Birmingham Ultra Running Society) and served as RD for some local races so I know I’m asking a lot. If there is anything you can do I would really appreciate it.

    Cherie! Please disregard my crazy email sent earlier. I was looking at the Yosemite race info page, hence the charity spot mentioned. After I took a breath and saw the date, I went to the Yellowstone page. Thank God for the Bison Double! I registered immediately! Thank you for reading through my panic stricken email and considering my request. I did register our club with group. We have 1300 members who love to travel, along with a great newsletter.     I would love to run this race. I just finished the Grand Canyon ace with a group of friends. I would love todo this one with them too. Will there be a place where we can sign up to let people know we are interested in purchasing a bib in case someone would like to transfer their bib?

    Unfortunately I have a family emergency and I will not be able to race next week and want to defer my spot till next year.

    I have tried to follow the instructions to defer my spot for this year but every time I try to access the Run Sign Up website it sends me to the 2016 race and not the 2017 race and as such I cannot defer.

    Can you help me?

    Hi Cherie,
    This comment blog seems to be ignored as I already posted back to Kristen saying I would happily transfer my ticket , but no one posted my reply.

    I also posted to you specifically asking a question about transfer & bib policy. I want to run the race, but I cannot physically pick up my BIB pick up time on time. This is why I wanted to transfer my ticket. What if my friend showed up to pick up my BIB & because I wasn’t able to physically do that, I could not run the race. Because I have not been able to get through to you & there is no information about BIB policies online, I am going to assume it is alright for Sara to pick up my race bib & I run the race the following day.

    Additional feedback for you is that after I was so worried about not hearing back from any staff (I also called Kaelee customer service) , I went so far as to find someone else late last night to run my race and to transfer, but there was a ticket transfer deadline I missed (THIS DEADLINE IS NOT STATED ON ANY website information about the transfer process).

    I have no choice now but to run the race myself and hope that Sara can pick up both her running bib & my bib while I am at work.Please help me, Many Thanks! tara.davis.yes@gmail.com or englishteachertara@gmail.com

    Hello! The email was unreachable, so: Last year’s 2016 race I participated in the half done hike after and submitted a picture at the top for a discount on this year’s race. I don’t see the discount applied. Can this be fixed? Thanks.
